Here is another shot I have never shown before. It’s taken at Point Cartwright, which is between Mooloolaba and Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. There is a lighthouse there as well, (I had my back to it when I took this photo) but I have never made a feature of it in a photo. It is quite a square shaped modern design, not the old style of historical lighthouse that you think of for a great lighthouse photo.
Point Cartwright is a wonderful spot. It is right in the middle of the population centre of the Sunshine Coast, but when you get out near the point to where the waves are crashing on the rocks, you can still imagine you are a million miles from civilization. It is amazing how sometimes you can get out of your car, walk for five minutes, and really feel like you have reconnected with nature. This is that kind of place.
